Thirty4/7 shortlisted as ‘Green Business of the Year’ at Newport Business Awards

Thirty4/7 Communications Shortlisted for Green Business of the Year

Green Business Of The Year

Thirty4/7 Communications is proud to be shortlisted for Green Business of the Year at the Newport Business Awards — recognition that reflects something far deeper than a single initiative or policy. For us, sustainability is not a bolt-on or a branding exercise. It is embedded in the very purpose of the company and shapes the decisions we make every day.

As a business, we work extensively across the renewable energy, sustainable development, and major infrastructure sectors, supporting developments that contribute directly to decarbonisation, energy security, sustainable places for our children to live and work, and the transition to a low-carbon economy. Through strategic planning and communications expertise, we help projects navigate complex engagement challenges, improve public understanding, and support responsible, policy-aligned decision-making. In doing so, we play a small but important role in helping to unlocking key infrastructure for current and future generations.

Our environmental commitment is reflected not only in the sectors we support, but in the way we operate. Thirty4/7 runs a low-carbon, flexible working model that minimises travel, reduces office energy use, and promotes conscious decision-making around suppliers and digital practices. Our trust-based, remote-first approach enables our team to work efficiently while keeping our operational footprint light.

“I’m really thrilled that the business has been shortlisted in this category. Sustainability isn’t a strapline at Thirty4/7 Communications, it’s a guiding consideration for every decision we make, from the projects we support to the way we run our business operations. By helping unlock renewable infrastructure and sustainable new development while operating a genuinely low-carbon, values-led business, we prove that commercial success and environmental responsibility can go hand in hand. Being shortlisted for Green Business of the Year reflects a culture built around delivering a better future for the next generation.”

We are equally committed to delivering social value within our local community. The team is lucky enough to work with like-minded clients allowing us to retain a core focus on helping to improve the world around us. We’re also proud to also partner with organisations focused on carbon reduction and nature recovery, (and never one to pass up the opportunity to shout about the incredible work they do please explore their websites to find out more!). Through Ecologi, we have operated as a net-positive carbon company for over five years, and through support for Stump Up for Trees, we contribute to tree-planting efforts across South Wales.

With the support of the Development Bank of Wales, we have developed a formal Carbon Reduction Plan, which is being progressed by our internal Sustainability Committee to ensure continual improvement and accountability.

By combining direct support for green infrastructure with a genuinely sustainable way of working, Thirty4/7 Communications demonstrates that environmental responsibility and commercial success are not competing priorities — they are mutually reinforcing.

Being shortlisted for Green Business of the Year is a proud moment for our team and a recognition of a culture built around delivering meaningful, lasting change.
