Introduction to Alexander Magee

Alex Magee T47 Headshot

Hello Thirty4/7 clients and friends, it’s great to be back! Most won’t know me, but I was Thirty4/7’s first ever intern back in September 2021 before moving on to pastures new but I’m delighted to re-join the team. Thirty4/7 has grown quite a bit over the past couple of years since my internship and I’m looking forward to getting stuck in with client work and helping grow the team even more.

Honing my communications craft away from Thirty4/7 I’m looking forward to utilising my skills to improve our clients projects be that via social media, a return to – much needed – public consultations in a post-covid world or the ideal way for unlocking a successful result in the planning system through stakeholder engagement.

I have worked on a variety of planning applications across the built environment sector including DCO’s, DNS’s, local town and country planning applications and Welsh focused pre-application consultations. In the FMCG sector I’ve supported Aldi and McDonald’s in their nationwide expansion where I led on their proposals in South Wales and the Midlands. In the property sector I’ve supported a range of clients with their developments from small hundred home schemes to a thousand plus.

Infrastructure and energy are where I have the most experience having worked on solar and wind farms across the country in Oxfordshire, Gloucestershire, Leicestershire, and Kent and a green hydrogen scheme in south west Wales, as well as projects of national significance such as the A46 Newark Bypass with National Highways.

Prior to life in planning comms I studied at Aberystwyth University reading a Bachelor of Science in Criminology and a Master’s in International Politics. When I’m not working in planning comms, you can catch me playing futsal and tennis, playing board games and gardening, or down at Ashton Gate watching the mighty Bristol City play (still dreaming of the ‘promised land’!).

I’m looking forward to bringing my skills and experience to the Thirty4/7 team and helping our clients get a successful result in the often-challenging planning system. I’m based in Bristol but you will also be able to find me at the Thirty4/7 office in the wonderful Newport Market, enjoying some of its brilliant eateries. If you’ve got a project you need comms support on, don’t hesitate to reach out to me via the details below.

I look forward to meeting our clients over the coming weeks and getting stuck in on a wide range of our projects.
